Surviving – 26 year old Reginald Hodges from Yirrganydji country lives with autism. He is employed as an administrative officer with Indigenous Community Volunteers from 9 to 12 every Tuesday. He also works 9-12 ever Thursday at the Department of Innovation. Reggie’s duties include distributing mail, shredding sensitive documents and organising the kitchenette. Reggie’s sisters and cousins take him out dancing when he goes to family parties he specialises in the Michael Jackson style of moves and is the life of the party. He also takes part in cultural dancing at events such as Tombstone Unveiling Ceremonies in his Father’s Country, up north Cairns. Reggie enjoys a well-connected family environment and is an inspiration to others living with autism.
