Surviving – Four young indigenous men and women join others from all over the country in Canberra to raise the issues closest to them and their communities as part of the National Indigenous Youth Parliament (NIYP). Blake Tatafu 21 years from Tuggerawong NSW Sydney a Young Healer from the Healing Foundation. Sarah Conway-James aged 25 from Andrews Farm SA studied journalism, international communications and politics at university and worked as an Indigenous youth worker. Jenna Woods aged 23 Perth an active member of Kulbardi Aboriginal Community Centre Youth Advisory Committee and was involved as a mentor on the AIME mentoring program and Ineke Wallis aged 19 from Nhulunbuy East Arnhem region she works as governance and executive administration officer for East Arnhem Regional Council in Nhulunbuy she teaches dance and also encourages them to be active and eat healthily.
