Our Footprints – Wiradjuri elder Uncle Larry Brandy originally from Condobolin NSW moved to Canberra in 1975, the third eldest of four a well-known Aboriginal story teller who has been sharing his stories for over two decades. His stories have reached preschool age children right up to retirement age and have crossed the seas to the Canadian Apache and Alaska’s first nation’s people. Larry visited their universities to research how to improve school aged children’s retention for our Indigenous youth and how to encourage them to stay in high school to receive a better education. He enjoys telling stories to non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal children so that they can be proud of their culture and of who they are. Larry works for the Indigenous Allied Health as a membership officer.
